Hi Meredith, I used CrossOver's free trial to test out the AOE 2 DE bottle, and multiplayer works without a hitch for me too. You won’t be able to play it on your mac version of steam, but the set up of your account and buying the game will be easier. suspect it needs a newer flash version compiled to work. You can set up Steam on your mac, and buy AOE2HD there with the expansions.
steam browser windows crash but continue. playing forgotten realms campaign mode on the first adventure act 3. the first screen has no buttons- that are legible but if you click the topmost one on the left when it opens it starts the game (launcher screen ? )
the second screen (first on the actual game) that opens has a 'auto continue when ready' option that never does anything. When it was done installing it downloaded and updated steam Selected my SteamSetup.exe i downloaded from steam site ( windows installer) I downloaded fresh for el capitan - 2009 macbook proĬhose "install software" and selected "Chose Setup Executable"
